*Identification Showing Name and a New Milford Address IS REQUIRED to Obtain a New Milford Library Card
 
ACCEPTABLE PROOF OF NEW MILFORD RESIDENCY:
One of the Following:
          Current Valid Driver's License
          New Jersey Non-Driver's State I.D.
          Bergen County Identification Card
          New Milford Property Deed
          Residential Rental Agreement
OR 2 of the Following Dated within 3 Months of Application:
          Utility Bill
          Water Bill
          Car Insurance Bill                  
          Home Owner's Insurance Bill
          Cable Bill

New Residents who already have a Library Card from another BCCLS Library:

  • Acceptable Proof of New Milford Residency and
  • The patron must be in good standing with no unpaid bills, outstanding fines or lost materials.
  • The patron's record should not have any outstanding materials including materials which are not yet overdue.
     
    CHILDREN/STUDENT CARDS:
    Children under the age of 18 years of age, must have a responsible parent or caregiver who meets the above proof of New Milford Residency sign for their card.
    Students attend school in New Milford, but do not live in a BCCLS town, or an Open Borrowing town, may be issued a Courtesy Card.
     
    COURTESEY CARDS for Non-RESIDENTS - Valid in New Milford Only:
    Non-Residents who work or attend school in New Milford, but do not live in a BCCLS town, or an Open Borrowing town, may be issued a Courtesy Card.
              Business Owner:
                  Business Card and a Piece of Current Mail with New Milford Address
              Business Employee:
                  Letter from Employer showing:
                       Employee's  Name and Address plus Employer's New Milford Address
              Students:   
                  Valid New Milford School I.D.
                  Or proof of Enrollment in a New Milford School
     
    Other forms of Identification maybe accepted only with the Director's approval.
