 STATE OF NEW JERSEY
COLLECTOR’S NOTICE OF TAX SALE FOR
DELINQUENT 2018 TAXES
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, THAT I, Denise M. Amoroso, Collector of Taxes of the Borough of New Milford in the County of Bergen, State of New Jersey, pursuant to the authority of the revised Statutes of New Jersey Section 54:5-19 and amendments thereon will on
 
                                                              THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2019
 
At 11:00 a.m., at Council Chambers, Borough Hall, 930 River Road, in said taxing district, or at such later time and place to which said sale may then be adjourned, expose for sale and sell the tracts and parcels of land hereinafter specified, and as computed on the list on file in my office, together with interest and cost of sale on these amounts to December 5, 2019.
 
The said lands will be struck off and sold to such persons as will purchase the same, subject to redemption at the lowest rate of interest, but in no case in excess of 18% per annum.  The payment for the sale shall be made before the conclusion of the sale, or the property will be resold.
 
Any said tract of land may be redeemed before the sale by payment of such amount due thereon to date of such redemption, including interest and costs to such date.
 
Industrial properties may be subject to the Spill Compensation and Control Act (N.J.S.A. 58:10-23.11 et seq.) The Water Pollution Control Act (N.J.S.A. 58:10A-1 et seq.) and the Industrial Site Recover Act (N.J.S.A. 13:1K-6 et seq.)  In addition, the municipality is precluded from issuing a tax sale certificate to any prospective purchaser
who is or may be in any way connected to the prior owner or operator of the site.
 
IN THE EVENT THE OWNER IS ON ACTIVE DUTY WITH THE MILITARY, THE COLLECTOR SHOULD BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY.
 
The following is a description of lands and owner’s names as contained on the list in my office, together with the total amount due thereon as computed to December 5, 2019. The names shown are as they appear in the last tax duplicate and do not necessarily mean that these parties are the present owners of the property.  Any lien purchased is against the property and not the individual.
 
After first publication of the list, the collector is authorized to remove names from the list of properties to be offered for sale only upon receipt of money order, certified check or bank check made payable to the Borough of New Milford.  In addition, all prospective bidders at time of sale must also pay by money order, certified check, bank check or at the discretion of the Tax Collector.  Premiums must be paid with a separate check. No wire transfers or cash will be accepted.
