Inclement Weather
During inclement weather the Department of Public Works may determine that the Recycling Center be closed for safety of the residents. Garbage or recyling collection may be cancelled due to ice or snow storms, high winds, heavy rains or other weather-related factors. In this case, remove all materials from the curb. Service will resume on your next scheduled pick up day. The DPW or Office of Emergency Management will do their best to notify residents if recycling is going to be cancelled. However, if you are in doubt, remove your recyclables from the curbside so that snow plows can operate without obstruction.

It is the responsibility of the owner or owners of any premises to shovel and remove snow from sidewalks within 24 hours after a snow fall ends.
