NEW MILFORD COVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION
The Borough of New Milford and the New Milford Board of Health in conjunction with the New Milford Office of Emergency Management is asking that you refrain from making phone calls to Borough Hall requesting information on the vaccine.
WE DO NOT PRESENTLY HAVE VACCINE AND DO NOT KNOW WHEN WE ARE GOING TO GET IT. WHEN WE DO, WE WILL GET THE WORD OUT.
These phone calls are actually slowing down the process. Right now there is no information to release other than that we are planning to hold a vaccine center at the Senior Center. We are planning to do our best to handle every contingency including people with no computer access. We eventually plan on having a phone line open to be able to answer some questions. But right now, phone calls into borough hall are preventing people from doing their jobs and making this vaccine center happen. We promise you, as soon as we have something to release, we will.
When we prepare to open up, there will be an information intake form to be filled out on the web (people who do not have web access will be able to call in). Once the information is received you will get a confirmation that you are on the list which will be time and date stamped. When we know how many vaccines we are getting in a given week, an email (or phone call to people who don't have web access) will be sent allowing you to schedule your vaccine. You will get a confirmation email on the time and date. You are to arrive at the senior center at your appointment time, fill out some additional paperwork and then go in to be vaccinated. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT, YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY. After the injection, you will need to sit for 15 minutes in another area and be monitored by a healthcare provider. After that 15 minutes you are able to leave.
PLEASE, allow us to continue with our normal work and REFRAIN from calling unless it is an imperative issue. Thank you !! PLEASE SHARE to all Social Media.
